Little Britain (2003–2006)

Matt Lucas and David Walliams, the creators of this character-comedy sketch show, delight in all that is mad, bad, quirky and generally bonkers about the people and places of Britain.

Comic actors David Walliams and Matt Lucas take viewers on a cockeyed tour of Great Britain via a gallery of eccentric characters, including Daffyd, “the only gay” in his tiny Welsh village; teen delinquent Vicky Pollard; Fat Fighters mentor Marjorie Dawes; Sebastian, the flamboyant aide to the Prime Minister; dear old Miss Emery, who is sweet, friendly and totally incontinent; unconvincing transvestites Florence and Emily; and roommates Lou and Andy.

  1. An absolutely hysterical send up of every eccentric character imaginable. However, because of one character being portrayed in “blackface” you can’t find it streaming anywhere. Of course the Thai “lady boy” Ting Tong” who totally misrepresents herself as a beautiful young girl in order to be a mail order bride is perfectly acceptable. Or the two tranvests desperate to be perceived as ladies is fine. Or the “physically handicapped ” Andy who uses his unaware best friend to be his personal slave is acceptable. Stop the BS. These guys poked fun at every race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation and did it exceedingly well.
